TEAM DRG
Climbing Team is designed for climbers who wish to pursue climbing as a competitive sport. Climbers will train twice per week with the opportunity to attend competitions. Climbers may choose to participate in USA Climbing to attend championship-level events as earned.
- AGES. 9 and up
- COSTS.
$105 per month DRG member
$140 per month non-member - SEASON. September – June
- PRACTICE DAYS. Days and times vary depending on skill level.
- PREREQUISITE. Pre Team, Instructor permission, or try-out is required for participation.
- NOTE. All comp fees, league fees, and travel are to be provided by the climbers.
PRE TEAM
The goal of pre team is to evaluate the climber’s ability and interest level as well as introduce them to the training routine. Climbers may then be placed in the Recreational or Qualifying program. Climbers may repeat Pre Team one time.
- LENGTH. 3-week program; 2-hour training period each week
- REGISTRATION. Rolling. The climber must come to 3 consecutive training workouts

What is the difference between Team and Climbing Club?
Club is designed for youth who want to climb recreationally and improve their technical skills. Climbing Team is you youth who want to focus on training and competition.
Does the Team attend competitions?
Yes, we are part of USA Climbing, Region 82. We may also attend local competitions not in the USA Climbing series.
Does my climb have to compete?
No, we do not require any of the climbers to compete. They will continue to train and progress just those who do compete.
How does my climber join the Climbing Team?
We require that all new team members be evaluated by one of our coaches or attend a pre-team program to ensure it the right program.
Does my climber have to be a good climber to join?
Ability level varies throughout the team. What we look for most is a dedication to training as well as climber's who have a desire to become better.
